The best piece of advice I can give to new members is to spend a fair amount of time observing and rehearsing your visual technique in front of a mirror before attending an audition camp. You'd be surprised how often what you think you look like is different than what you'll actually see in the mirror. Your 10 degree horn elevation might really be flat, and your ramrod straight "perfect" posture might look to the rest of the world like a pretty substantial backward lean or forward slump. - Walt Omiecinski, Pacific Crest marching coordinator. Check out a list of audition dates for the corps you want to join.
