Blue Devils
Frank Troyka, the Blue Devils’ System Blue director of education, recently visited South Africa to work with students and faculty of the Field Band Foundation.
Bluecoats
Bluecoats is closing out its fiscal year, which means deep discounts on T-shirts and other merchandise as part of the corps’ end-of-year sale.
Boston Crusaders
Boston Crusaders announced the returning staff members who will make up the corps’ 2016 music team.
The Cadets
Cadets director George Hopkins will discuss details about the corps’ upcoming 2016 season during a webinar scheduled for Monday, October 8, at 8 p.m. ET. “As in 2015, my personal intention as the director of the 2016 Cadets is to give fans of the corps a transparent look into what we do and why we do it,” Hopkins said.
Carolina Crown
After appointing a new head of the corps’ front ensemble section, Carolina Crown has added three more individuals to its percussion staff.
Colts
This week the Colts named Lane Summerlin as the corps’ percussion caption head for 2016. “(Summerlin) has the skills, the demeanor, and the heart to propel the percussion section forward for years to come,” director Vicki MacFarlane said.
Genesis
Josh Rush will return to Genesis this season as the corps’ visual caption head.
Heat Wave
This week Heat Wave made a number of appointments to its 2016 design staff.
Jersey Surf
Jersey Surf sent out a very special thank you video to the friends, family, farmers and alums who contributed to feeding corps members during the group’s 2015 summer tour.
Mandarins
The Mandarins’ 2015 end-of-season banquet will take place on November 27 in Sacramento, California.
Pacific Crest
Pacific Crest named Steven Estudillo as the corps’ 2016 creative director. DCI Hall of Fame member Scott Koter has additionally been brought on as a creative advisor.
Phantom Regiment
As part of the corps’ 60th anniversary alumni homecoming, Phantom Regiment has invited alums from all generations to perform at the corps’ 41st annual Show of Shows DCI Tour event.
Santa Clara Vanguard
Sandi Rennick, Vanguard percussion arranger and composer, will host an educational workshop for mallet percussionists of all ages and skill levels on Sunday, November 1, at the SCV Corps Hall in Santa Clara, California.
Spirit of Atlanta
Spirit of Atlanta announced the members of its 2016 design and instructional team. The group will be led by visual and artistic design advisor Adam Sage.
Troopers
Troopers have a number of sets of color guard costumes for sale through the corps’ Facebook page.
