Here is a photo of me and my dear friend Austin Melcher, who is a member of Pioneer. Though we have known each other for several years, this picture was snapped the first time the two of us ever met face-to-face. He lives in Wisconsin and I am a Texan through and through, yet we happened to find each other several years back while chatting online about DCI. From there we found a lasting friendship that might not have happened without our passion for music and drum corps. What a great feeling it was to finish our show "And the pursuit of happiness," only to finally meet an old friend for the first time. I'd call that happiness.
